Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Constitution Guns

U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA) today voted to prevent terrorists from purchasing guns, while protecting the Constitutional rights of all law-abiding Americans. Senator Perdue voted against Senator Susan Collins' (R-ME) amendment and voted to support Senator Ron Johnson's (R-WI) amendment.

"We all agree we must keep guns out of the hands of terrorists who wish to destroy our very way of life," said Senator Perdue. "Once again, I voted today to prevent terrorists from purchasing guns, while protecting the Second Amendment. At the same time, we must ensure strong due process protections are in place to protect the Constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans. Instead of engaging in divisive politics, we need to come together to protect Americans from the threat of radical Islamic terrorism."
